Cecropia

from €119.00

A cecropia tree rises through the mist in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil. Cecropias are pioneer species, and essential for the regeneration of a forest. They grow fast and quickly occupy any clearing, providing shade for seedlings of slower growing species that will make up a mature forest. The Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil is one of the most endangered forest ecosystems of the world, with less than 8% of its original cover remaining.
